Brenton Barnhart, 9, second from right with lollipop, competes with his classmates to answer questions about whorls, loops, arches, and tent arches on fingerprints at one of the stations presented by Waynesburg University students to teach the kids about forensics. Barnhart won a lollipop for each correct answer, and he decided to eat all of them at once.

Quincy Howard, 12, left, and his sister Royona Lewis, 14, read from the Bible at Bible Released Time, where Brownsville Area students get out of school for an hour per week for nondenominational bible study at South Brownsville United Methodist Church. Quincy and Royona were each wearing half of a pair of gloves to keep warm in the church classroom.
