I'm a photojournalist a little bit south of Pittsburgh, Pa. I graduated from Penn State in 2014 with English and photojournalism degrees. I was a staff photographer for The Daily Collegian for three years, interned for The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and WPSU-FM, and currently work at The Herald-Standard in Uniontown, Pa.
I've been around theatre and performing arts my whole life, so a lot of my work has gravitated toward that. I shoot a lot of performance photography as both a freelancer and a journalist, and I even did a multimedia honors thesis at Penn State on why actors brave a terrible job market to do what they love.
I also love seeing how people live around the world, and my dream is to shoot assignments internationally. I've been fortunate enough to visit Turkey and Cuba with Penn State, and would return to either in a minute. In the meantime, I try to look around at southwestern Pennsylvania with fresh eyes and shoot the stories that are in my own backyard.
